Y’know, the thing about the singer from Alien Ant Farm,
he’s got lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll’s eyes. When he comes after ya, he doesn’t seem to be livin’ until he bites ya, and those black eyes roll over white.

Well...
All musics sound of music, just as all gins taste of gin.
All human music is confined to the human audio frequency range, which is a very narrow slice of the frequencies transmissible through Earth's air, so to that extent all music conforms to a range of common frequencies.
To a species with a differently evolved ear (perhaps with a wider/narrower slice of AF that doesn't fully overlap with ours), all human music may sound very similar. It might sound very different to music composed on a world with a radically different atmospheric composition affecting pitch, and the ways different frequencies propagate/radiate.

The 00s always struck me as a bit of a musically vacant decade.
Compared to the distinct identities of the 60s/70s/80s/90s, the 00s feels like a patchwork of pastiche and recycled styles lacking the long-term resonance that defined earlier eras.
I say that as someone who came of age during the the decade.
Maybe Gen Alpha will start referencing Mr Brightside and have 00s nights in 10 years and I'll be proven wrong.

I saw Katy Perry's Glastonbury show a few years back,
it was unexpectedly very good. Everything else about her is maximum cringe (the space flight, the Musk-fangirling, marrying Russell fucking Brand) but she can sing and knows how to put on a show, which is her job.

Song with great gusto: The Apertures of the HomunculusNSFWI made this!
A song and video I made for a Eurovision-style contest. It's about having anatomy in general, and the art of Ithell Colquhoun in particular. Marked 'NSFW' purely because it contains 19th Century drawings of human anatomy, as well as the word 'vagina!'
Gosh!
That was way more creativity and variation than I was expecting in 2 minutes! Very good. I look forward to the 14 minute album version.

Robot action girl with a Ninjato, no less!
Which I'm guessing she/they've learned to use within 10 minutes of 'transitioning' due to some nifty Matrix-esque integrated programming.
Because we all know the most effective means of dispatching corrosive-blooded Xenomorphs is close combat.
It's a real shame that they seem to be going the young adult route with the franchise, because a less monster/action focused Weyland-Yutani origin story would have had so much potential.
The Alien rights are owned by Disney now, though. There was no chance this was going to be good no matter what route they took.
(Tony HayersDEFUND THE POLICE, Sun 8 Jun 2025, 21:48,

Also.
The primary concept that makes the Xenomorphs so frightening is how devastatingly efficient they are. If one got inadvertently loose on earth, we'd be megafucked, regardless of the century. The only thing that can effectively contain them is the vacuum of space (and even that has its limits if you include Alien: Romulus in the universal canon).
There's a relatively decent Reddit post that outlines a reasonably realistic response to a Xenomorph outbreak on earth, but I suspect the whole scenario is pretty self-explanatory.
Fucking Disney.
